Two World Cruises Planned for 2009

Regent Seven Seas Cruises Plans

Two World Cruises in 2009

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will offer two World Cruise itineraries in 2009 -- the first luxury cruise line to offer such lengthy global winter cruises in the same year. The cruises will be offered onboard the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager and the 700-guest Seven Seas Mariner.

Photo of Seven Seas Mariner goes here."We are delighted to schedule two World Cruises in 2009, an unprecedented deployment that will provide our guests with the ultimate travel experience aboard the only all-suite, all-balcony luxury ships in the world," said Regent President Mark Conroy.

The two distinct itineraries span six continents, and include 23 overnight calls and exclusive on-board entertainment and the amenities.

Seven Seas Voyager

Seven Seas Voyager will embark on a 116-night journey to the South Pacific, Asia,  Arabia, the Mediterranean and Bermuda.

This Grand Circumnavigation World Cruise departs Jan. 12, 2009 from Los Angeles with seven individual segments, each offering guests a choice of diverse Concierge Collection land adventures as well as onboard lecture programs and activities.

  • Los Angeles to Auckland (20 nights, Jan. 12 to Feb. 1
  • Auckland to Sydney (12 nights, Feb. 1 to Feb. 13)
  • Sydney to Shanghai (21 nights, Feb. 13 to March 6)
  • Shanghai to Singapore (12 nights, March 6 to March 18)
  • Singapore to Dubai (14 nights, March 18 to April 1)
  • Dubai to Istanbul (17 nights, April 1 to April 18)

For a dramatic beginning to their adventure, guests may combine Seven Seas Voyager's World Cruise with a 15-night Panama Canal sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles (December 29, 2008 to January 12, 2009) for a 131-night voyage.

Travelers explore Costa Rica, Colombia, and the Panama Canal, followed by three stops in Mexico before the journey ends in Los Angeles.

With Early Booking Savings, Grand Circumnavigation World Cruise rates range from $64,995 to $224,995 per person based on double occupancy. Individual segments start at $7,995 per person double.

Seven Seas Mariner

Seven Seas Mariner will depart two weeks later for a 121-night global sojourn to South America, French Polynesia, Australia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Russia and Alaska.

Seven Seas Mariner's 2009 Ring of Fire World Cruise departs January 26 from Fort Lauderdale with eight individual segments, each offering exclusive Concierge Collection land journeys, stimulating onboard lecture programs and activities. Segments include:

Travelers can launch their adventure by combining Seven Seas Mariner's World Cruise with a 12-night Caribbean departure roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale (Jan. 14 to 26, 2009) for a 132-night cruise.
