Sailing with Le Cordon Bleu
Regent Seven Seas Cruises boasts an exclusive relationship with Le Cordon Bleu, the renowned French cooking school. Multiple voyages each year feature Le Cordon Bleu topics or workshops.
For example, one Le Cordon Bleu "Circle of Interest" voyage departs April 7, 2008 on Seven Seas Mariner.
This 11-night cruise sails roundtrip from Port Everglades (Greater Fort Lauderdale) on the itinerary shown on the map at right.
Fares starts at $4,495 per person based on double occupancy; those special reates reflect two-for-one pricing.
To participate in Le Cordon Bleu cooking program, the guest pays an additional $450 fee.
On April 7, Circle of Interest guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail party hosted by a chef from Le Cordon Bleu.
Throughout the voyage, three intensive two-hour culinary workshops will include cooking demonstrations detailing the preparation and presentation of French cuisine - updated for contemporary tastes. On April 12, the Le Cordon Bleu participants will join the chef ashore on St. Barts to see how fresh baked pastries, croissants and baguettes are prepared.
Each participant will also prepare selections from the ship's Le Cordon Bleu menus. A dinner with the chef will be organized during the voyage.
A graduation ceremony is set for April 17; graduates will receive a chef's apron and hat, tea towel, cookbook and certificate.
