Bags to Go, Southwest & TSA Aid
Port Everglades Cruisers Flying SW
If you're cruising from Port Everglades and flying Southwest Airlines to/from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, you might consider a new optional Bags to Go service. It leaves the luggage handling to others. Available for post-cruise flights departing after 11:45 a.m., the new Bags to Go service for cruisers costs $20 per person for up to two bags.
■ Plan ahead by making a Bags To Go online reservation after booking a Southwest Airlines flight. Visit www.baggagecheckin.com and click "Cruise Straight to the Gate." Post-cruise, passengers simply hand their luggage over to a Bags To Go agent stationed at the port beyond the U.S. Customs inspection area; here you check your bags and receive your Southwest boarding pases.
■ After your pre-cruise Southwest arrival flight into Fort Lauderdale, make a reservation through an agent at the designated Bags To Go sales counter at Terminal 1; it's adjacent to Baggage Claim Carousel Number Six.

■ After your cruise, purchase the Bags To Go service at the port. You may hand over your bags up to 12 hours in advance of your flight. Again, Bags To Go agents will be available just beyond the U.S. Customs inspection area; they'll check your bags and issue Southwest boarding passes.
Once baggage has been accepted by Bags To Go, it's securely transported to an access-controlled facility at the FLL airport, screened by TSA personnel, delivered to the airline and loaded onto your Southwest flight. Simply claim your luggage at your final destination. Visit www.BaggageCheckIn.com.
